Isolazen (2023)

Isolazen was produced as a collaboration with JaNae Contag in an effort to quell the anxious mind while dealing with sickness. I searched for a solution in the artistic space landing upon improvisation within constraints of synthesizers and tactile inputs. In this project I did the initial sound design and crated a space in which various synthesized sounds could be played and captured. I then took these initial sounds and manipulated them, combined and added to create full compositions and build a story line that sonically connected to the theme of "finding agency and empowerment through the act of creating." Finally I mixed and produced the final tracks.

The album sonifies the imagined and surreal realities of isolation, fear and sickness.

Isolazen is set for release in Fall, 2023.
